At WingsNaledi®, we care about doing the right thing. Our commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) is unwavering. Because we operate on five continents, we want to be good corporate citizens, not just in our own backyards but in communities across the world.
If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. …We need not wait to see what others do.” ~ Mahatma GandhiThrough our CSR program, we participate in various social initiatives in the communities in which we operate. Our activities include volunteering time and labour at various local schools, raising cancer awareness and funding childhood cancer research, providing basic essentials and toys for disadvantaged and abused children’s agencies and orphanages, participating in domestic violence awareness programmes and supporting the Adopt-a-School educational foundation. We also support a home for disabled children in South Africa.
Also, as we expand our presence across the globe, WingsNaledi is committed to employing local talent in the communities where we operate which, in turn, supports the socioeconomic needs of individuals in those communities. Providing this hand “up” instead of “out” ensures that our efforts are sustainable.
One of our key differentials in business is having the ability to provide local expertise in remote regions. As our clients push the boundaries of exploration further, we will continue to go with them, gathering diverse and exceptional talent along the way. This will add to the value proposition we provide our clients as well as the communities in which they work, often in remote third world regions.
Finally, at WingsNaledi®, we believe in “being the change we wish to see in the world.” Our employees are enthusiastically engaged in our CSR initiatives and this ongoing community involvement allows us to promote positive change. We encourage others, including our suppliers and clients, to join us in this endeavour.
